TextSpeak TTS-ENC2 version 3.7 is now online interfacing with SPOK Nurse Call stations. TextSpeak is receiving text based alerting from the new hospital information distribution center, and announcing over loudspeakers. In some case over 30 messages per hour are being announced, 24 hours a day. Typical message’s include “Emergency Department Protection Services Officer, Code BLUE” and “Urgent Care CV 4234, Patient Waiting Room, Code White”.

Announcements are repeated and prioritized using customer portals and the SPOK Patient Care System.

Other installations use TAP Protocol and SCADA outputs to invoke medical alerts.
